  • Digital products

Eight years running digital products, from a global tournament platform to the digital services of a national sports federation.

Since 2025, Product Manager at the Italian Tennis and Padel Federation, responsible for eSports and working across its digital products. AI is part of how I work every day, and of what I build.

01 · Digital products

One digital ecosystem, several platforms

The Federation's three digital products. I follow them from the product side: I coordinate the technology partners who build them on interface, user experience and the integrations between systems.

SuperTennis+ su telefono, tablet, web e TV

SuperTennis+

The Federation's streaming service: tennis and padel live and on demand, on phone, tablet, web and TV, with a freemium model.

  • UI and UX review, and the approval point
  • Sports data and streaming integrations
  • Digital entry and indoor wayfinding, planned for the next edition

myFITP

Federal app · eSports section

The app every FITP member uses for their digital card, their profile and their rankings. The eSports circuit runs inside it.

  • I am responsible for the eSports section and its tournaments
  • Two technology partners coordinated on UI, UX and delivery
  • Single sign-on with the other digital services of the Federation
02 · eSports in FITP

A digital product with its own ecosystem

My main responsibility, and the one I run end to end: strategy, platform, partners, players and the live finals.

FITP eSeries by BMW

The Federation's official eSports circuit, played on Tennis Clash and co-organised with its developer WildLife Studios, with BMW as main sponsor. FITP is the first Italian sports federation to create a dedicated eSports membership.

  1. eSports membership
  2. Federal app
  3. Tournaments all year
  4. Federal ranking
  5. Live finals

Since 2026 the whole circuit runs inside the Federation's own app, through an integration with the game developer's systems.

What I run
04 · Adoption & change management

Adoption is the other half of the job

Releasing is only the start. The rest is the work that decides whether anyone ends up using it.

Enabling people

I train the teams who will use what we release, and I teach the eSports module of a Master's in Sports Management, to an audience that does not come from gaming.

Testing on my own projects first

New tools go on my own projects first, where a mistake costs nothing. AstaCerta and CalcoRALore started that way, and only what holds up there comes into the job.

Each version starts from the last one

A release is a starting point. I watch how a product gets used and plan what follows on that: it is how the next edition of the Internazionali app is taking shape.
04 · Before the Federation

Eight years learning to own a product

QLASH, an Italian gaming and esports company: from running community to heading gaming operations. Plus one product built outside it, for Mindset Lab.

The path

Online tournaments, community and campaigns with creators, on the games that were moving the audience at the time.

I ran the AC Milan esports project for nearly three years, working across several of the club’s internal departments.

I built the commercial side with the C-level team: clubs, agencies and publishers, from Inter and Torino to Dentsu, EA, Konami, Sony PlayStation and Supercell.

1,000+online tournaments run, 2017-2020
99%completion rate across them
50+campaigns and tournaments with creators
QLASH App

QLASH App · from MVP to global platform

Tournament platform · 2021 · 2025

I oversaw the development of QLASH's own tournament platform and took it from MVP to a global product across mobile, PC and console titles, defining the requirements for every game integration and how the platform connects to the publishers' systems.

300K+registered users
500+tournaments run on the platform
TipKlub

TipKlub · Mindset Lab

Product Manager · zero to launch · 2024 · 2025

A sports prediction app built with some of Italy's best known tipsters. I ran it from concept to launch and through the roadmap that followed, coordinating an external tech agency with in-house design and marketing.

05 · Side projects

Three things I have built with AI

This is where I experiment. I take an idea, push it to an MVP and put it online to see whether it holds up. I work with Replit and Lovable, and I build with Claude, connecting it to the external systems a project needs.

Assistants for my own work

Internal assistants · used weekly

Built around the work that comes back every week and takes the most time: preparing briefs, reading long documents and pulling out what matters, turning meeting notes into decisions.

Grounded only in a knowledge base I curate, always sourced, and what comes out is a draft a person reviews before it is used.
AstaCerta

AstaCerta

Paid web app · live

A paid web app that helps a fantasy football league agree on the date of its auction. Designed and built end to end with AI-assisted development, and live with a subscription tier.

CalcoRALore

CalcoRALore

Free tool · live

A calculator that turns an Italian gross salary into what you actually take home. Every figure comes from the official tax registers, down to municipal rates, each one carrying its source.

In short

So what do I actually do?

I trained as an engineer and I like getting my hands dirty on the product: writing the requirements, agreeing priorities with the technology partners who build it, going through what comes back, and deciding what ships and what waits.

I have never sat in one box: football clubs, global publishers, sponsors fromhttps://portfolio-v72-sergio.vercel.app/index.html well outside gaming, legal offices. I keep that mix on purpose, because it is what lets me talk to the people who build, the people who sell and the people who decide, and work across several fronts without losing the thread.
